Warrants
Warrants of entry in Scotland are granted by the Scottish Courts and Tribunal Services who have created guidelines that all companies must follow before they apply for one. They are governed by the Rights of Entry (Gas and Electricity Boards) Act 1954 which states entry can only be given by your consent or if warrant has been issued by the local Sheriff court in the case of an emergency ie an immediate danger to the public for say, a gas leak.
